Dave and I visited with some dear friends last evening, Mike and Bev. These two are at the top of our list of people we admire most. Despite a generation gap, we used to hang out together frequently - have Sunday lunch together - but life has gotten in the way. Mike and Bev brought Dave and me to Center Pointe many moons ago.
We hadn't seen them since our wedding day so the catching-up-as-quick-as-possible was very funny. We went from hugging and how are you's to food, hurricanes, and daring stunts such as indoor skydiving and bungee jumping. We all shared a headshake about the hopes that if we did go bungee jumping that we wouldn't have "too much bungee."
Today is their 30th wedding anniversary. Our applause, love, and admiration go out to them today for being such an inspiration to us and really just for being such wonderful friends.
